From June 23rd to June 26th, 2025, Solid Energies will present at AABC Europe. AABC Europe brings together a global audience of battery technologists and their key suppliers for a must-attend week of development trends. Dr. Timothy Lin, Founder and CTO, presented "Progress in Scaled-Up Manufacturing of High-Energy-Density, Low-Cost, Solid-State Li-ion Batteries: From Semi-Solid State to All-Solid State". The presentation will discuss the need to address several technical/commercial challenges before its mass production can be achieved. Over recent years, semi-solid-state batteries (SSSB), as a type of intermediate state battery, have been rapidly developed for commercialization. This talk will further discuss a (1) feasible approach for a cost-effective adoption of today’s LiB technology for commercial manufacturing of SSSB, and (2) challenges and promising paths for ASSBs toward scale-up manufacturing, presenting our years’ efforts in these aspects including the establishment of pilot-scale production for these batteries.
